As a compilation release, "Rarities" does an excellent job of maintaining a very strong cohesive quality throughout, which speaks to the strength of the band's vision and the quality of their work. HTRK have always had a beautiful drifting and languid sound that really appeals to me, and I like what they do a lot. This compilation really reinforces my appreciation, and sets me looking forward to new music from them...
